What equipment do you need?
A BRIEF GUIDE TO THE ESSENTIALS OF DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY.
What do you really need?
Some students attend PhotoSchool London workshops with realatively basic and dated digital cameras, who have equally basic computer systems at home; others, also complete beginners, turn up with the latest full-frame camera, wi-fi'd to their latest generation iPad or phone.
So what do you actually need to start digital photography as a hobby? Explore the fundamentals of your camera system below.

Computer. We recommend iMacs and other computers from Apple.
Camera. We recommend a Digital SLR type camera as the most flexible camera system. Check out our recommendations for cameras here.
There are many other essential accessories detailed in the Online Course lesson pages.
Software. Start with the software that came bundled with your camera but then explore an image-management and editing software package like Adobe Lightroom, before being tempted by Adobe PhotoShop.
