I’ve been on a few photography workshops and this was by far the best. The tutor is patient and personable. We had a fantastic afternoon and learnt a lot! I would recommend this to anyone. Jofish, London via Qype
The workshop was a series of lightbulb moments for me. The amount I learned in three hours far exceeded my expectations. The tutor was able to pitch what he taught exactly to what those in the class needed. I now have enough basic knowledge to take photos that are so much better than before and I have the motivation and encouragement to keep practising. lisesteinberg, London via Qype
An excellent workshop – highly recommended. I’m (or should I say “I was…”!) a total beginner with no idea whatsoever; my Nikon DSLR was in ‘Full Auto’ mode 99% of the time. I can honestly say I doubt I will ever use ‘Auto’ mode again. The ‘learning’ itself was in a very relaxed style, with lots of time to practice what the tutor was teaching us – in fact we were taking photos all the time. The location is great as well – all in all I really recommend this for anyone with no real knowledge who wants to come away feeling a lot more in control. I’m now looking for a new DSLR! Thanks - great day.

Would recommend this beginners workshop to anyone interested in starting photography. Tutor was always willing to answer any questions and although the day was very cold we all still got a lot out of the workshop. Thanks

A really great workshop yesterday. I thought I knew how to get the best shots out of my camera, but I picked up some great techniques which will undoubtedly lead to some much improved photography from me. Tutor was happy to answer all questions and give advice on camera functions and equipment.Edstar72, London via Qype
I went to the Beginner’s workshop for DLSR with a very little knowledge about DLSR Cameras at all. Tutor had a really good way of explaining things without making it sound so difficult. It was very clear that he had wealth of expertise in his field. I am looking forward to exploring my camera and put it at the best use. Go out there and capture the world with lenses.. :)

Great few hours getting to know my camera. He’s a very good teacher – he took care in spending time with each of us and I got some good results from it. Now I just need to make sure I get out there and take more photos!

I was delighted with all I learnt on the course run on 5th Nov. The session went back to basics in very informative way and also introduced lots of tips and useful elements of the camera which I had no idea how to use. I have since been out photographing a sunny autumn day and trying to remember all I learnt....before I forget. The secret is to get practising straight away so all the new info is fresh.....For me anyway. Very good day..well worth the money. I hope to attend another course soon.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this course as I have been on a number of similar courses with varying degrees of success. However I was pleasantly surprised to find that this tutor was an excellent teacher. He covered all of the basics and is extremely knowledgable being a professional photographer himself. Being a complete beginner I found his approach of explaining how the camera works from the inside-out really effective. He also gave each student individual time to talk through their needs. I would highly recommend this course to any budding photographers.

Really great workshop. Tutor covered all the basics and answered every question I had in mind, without me having to ask. He has a great way of explaining so that it all makes sense. His advice and suggestions will hopefully take me a long way. Would love to take the intermediate course next year should he decide to do one over a few weekends. Thanks!

A great course for beginners. Lots of information to digest (and it doesn't all sink in on the day!) but the pace is good and it covers the basics. More importantly it makes you want to keep going and learn more...

I attended the 3-hour DSLR course for beginners with and it was really helpful to start approaching photography out of the AUTO mode. Tutor is super nice and friendly, knows a lot about photography and is a great teacher, very attentive to everyone in class. Highly recommended :)

Three hour course on Saturday. Thoroughly enjoyable day. Tutor is a nice bloke and Greenwich was a great place to be taking photo's. If you get a day as good as we did in October then you can't go far wrong. Learnt a lot and nice to be in a group all of a common standard.

As someone who has had a few digital compact cameras in the past I knew how to point and click when set to auto!! After purchasing a nikon dslr thought it would be useful to go on a course to learn how to use it properly. The course was very informative with just enough technical information to explain the key points and plenty of time around Greenwich to put the theory to the test. Tutor was very welcoming of questions and quick to provide useful tips. I would definitely recommend this course and am considering the intermediate course to continue my development.

A very interesting & informative course to get you to know the basics of your DSLR camera.... now I'm itching to know more & take more pics with my new found knowledge of how to use my camera in manual mode...the course really focuses on how lighting is the key to a good picture in a variety of formats.

Highly recommend this DSLR course for beginners. Very useful tips from how to hold your camera correctly to understanding shutter speeds and f stops. I am booking to go on further courses with this tutor as I found it so informative.

If you want to dip your toe into the geeky world of DSLR (see what i mean!) photography, then book yourself on one of these workshops and you wont be disappointed. Tutor is able to accomodate all levels of experience because he always go back to basics and relates in plain English and he obviously has a lot of working experience. I certainly am now thinking of booking a more advanced course (i recently went on the beginners course) as i know he will be 'mindful' as to how it is presented and im sure will know when to develop the knowlege of the murky world of non automatic picture taking!

A very enjoyable half-day course, with a good mix of theory and practical exercises....The final critique of my own photographs was both useful and confidence building. I came away with a renewed sense of enthusiasm.
